Tahara and Afua's guide to travel. We both have a passion
for travel and a yearning to see the world. We have created this blog based off
our experience studying abroad to Europe. In this blog you will learn a little
about each place that we went to in Europe and some fun things we did while we
were there. Also, we will be giving advice on things you need to know while
you are traveling. Not only will you hear our opinion but, also the opinion of
some of our classmates that we were able to share the study aboard experience
with us. We hope you enjoy this blog the way we enjoy making it and decide while
you are in college to study aboard. Even if you are not able to apply to a study abroad program hopefully one day you will decide to travel to Europe or
anywhere else in the world; trust us you won’t regret it!

God is in this place
While we were on this trip we saw and visited many different churches. One of my favorite places to go was the Vatican city this was one of the most impacting sites that you can experience. Being in a place that is so holy helped me invite god more into my life. Being a religious person it meant a lot to be in the presence of the Vatican church. I felt like I was at peace being inside the church. It was also nice to see all of the beautiful and amazing artwork; each piece told a different story of the bible. The beautiful artwork that is in the Vatican is something that is not to be forgotten. - Afua

Off the plane!
When we first arrived on the plane I was expecting everything to be so different from the American life style. I was expecting a drastic communication difference. When we first arrived in the Barcelona airport it still felt like we were in America, the native people there were dressed the same as we were. The only automatic difference was the languages that they spoke. Most people spoke Spanish and others spoke French. In order to get the real European experience I had to dive deep into their culture, adapting to their food, the environment and respecting their cultural values.- Tahara
